This 10 week self paced course is designed to help you understand what athletes do mentally that prevent them from achieving peak performance and learn what to do to turn it around. 

At the same time, you’ll begin to understand your body and how it communicates to you, in order to maximize your body’s potential and truly execute like a champion when it counts.

As you work with the practices and new information, you’ll develop deeper awareness about your mindset and your body. You’ll learn how to integrate these exercises and tools into your training so you can move through self doubt, fear and blocks with more ease and embody your most confident and consistent Champion Self. You will finish the course with a comprehensive toolbox filled with new frameworks, practices, and techniques that will support you in your sport AND in your life.

Hi, I’m Sara Vatore and your Peak Performance Instructor! After working with hundreds of athletes both individually and in groups in my role as a peak performance coach, it quickly became clear that there’s simple but ESSENTIAL information missing from foundational education about how our brain and body work, and how this can impact athletic performance. 

Fortunately, you can learn how to help your body feel confident and strengthen your capacity for mental toughness! These are skills, just like learning any physical skill in your sport. 

You can train your brain to think differently! How would it feel to reduce those negative thoughts and doubts?

You can get familiar with how your body and physiology are designed so that you can quickly calm down when you feel nervous and amp yourself up when you want a motivational boost. 

There are simple concepts, practices, and tools you can learn and practice to make you feel more confident, consistent and an overall better athlete TODAY! 

I created this course because every athlete should have these foundational pieces of mind-body-performance information to make their training and competition execution easier, more focused, and more consistent.

Course Format and Inclusions

  • 10 Weeks (This course is designed to be completed over a 10 week period, but can be adjusted to fit the needs of your individual goals)

  • 10 Self Paced Modules on Thinkific, an online learning platform

    • Each module includes 2-4 videos ranging between 5-25 minutes each

      • Videos consist of lessons, experiential practices, writing reflections, and personal observations

    • Each module includes homework assignments, new tools and skills implementation, and reflections for in and out of practice and competitions for each week

  • Handouts with major themes, journal prompts and homework to support video lessons

  • Community online space on the Thinkific platform to ask Sara any questions that come up during the course, to post comments on new learnings and to also celebrate shifts and changes in your performance!

About Your Instructor

Sara Vatore, M.Ed., BCC, SEP is a Peak Performance Coach, Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Somatic Experiencing ® Practitioner, and a Level 2 MELT Method ® Instructor. She is the author of 4 books: Embodied Confidence: 30 Days of Radical Mindset Shifts for Gymnasts, Divers, Figure Skaters and Cheerleaders.

Sara works privately and in groups with athletes of all ages, leaders, entrepreneurs, parents and coaches to support them in navigating fears and blocks to access and embody their full potential. A former competitive childhood softball player and Dancer and a current level 2 MELT Method® Instructor, she understands the importance of looking at the brain-body connection as a whole system and its direct effect on peak performance. She synthesizes and uses breakthrough techniques in the field of peak performance to help athletes understand where they are stuck and how to turn it all around

Sara is on a mission to educate coaches, parents and athletes about the importance of rest and restore as the missing piece for reaching ultimate peak performance through nervous system regulation and connective tissue care. She works with athletes and teams to integrate the MELT Method® into their weekly training programs to get the most out of repetitive training, reduce damage to the body, minimize the risk of injury, and speed up recovery time.

With over 16 years of experience working with kids and their families, including a background in school guidance counseling, Sara has a deep understanding of family and system dynamics, children, adolescents and human development. 

She lives in Western Massachusetts with her husband and two boys, loves to dance, and spends all her free time in nature.

What ages is the course aimed at?

While athletes of all ages can get a lot out of the course, the course was designed with ages 13-25 in mind.  

What sports can this course support?

This course can support athletes in all sports! Examples of athletes from different sports are used throughout the program. Developing mental toughness, building confidence and learning the fundamentals of peak performance are areas of development that all athletes can benefit from, no matter the sport. 

How long is the course?

The course is 10 modules. One module is released each week, for a total of 10 weeks of course work. Every module consists of 2-4 short videos, ranging from 7-25 minutes each and includes a workbook for homework and reflection.  

Are there calls included?

There are no calls included. Participants will have access to a private community forum on the Thinkific platform to post reflections and ask questions. 

Are 1-1 sessions with Sara included?

This course does not include 1-1 sessions. If you begin the course and recognize that you need additional 1-1 support with anything that comes up, reach out to Sara and you both can see if working together would be a good fit.
